Sprecher Ginger Ale
Sprecher Brewing · Fire-brewed ginger ale
Glendale, Wisconsin, USA
Sprecher's fire-brewed take on ginger ale leads with a real ginger bite—warming and peppery rather than the timid, syrupy fizz most mass-market ginger ales settle for. Raw honey is the supporting player, lending a floral, lightly fruity sweetness that rounds the edges and gives the soda a fuller body than its pale color suggests. The finish runs dry and faintly woody, with a whisper of oak from Sprecher's kettle process. It sits at the bolder, more characterful end of the ginger-ale spectrum—closer to a craft session sipper than a cocktail mixer, though it plays both roles.

The maker
Sprecher Brewing Company is a Milwaukee-area craft brewery and soda maker, now based in Glendale, Wisconsin, founded by Randy Sprecher in 1985. Its gourmet sodas are "fire-brewed" in a kettle with direct flame, which caramelizes the sweeteners for added depth. The ginger ale is sweetened in part with raw Wisconsin honey and built on natural ginger and botanical extracts.
